"Lakeside Wedding and Banquet Facility"

Located on beautiful Caroga Lake, Sherman’s evokes wonderful memories – the Carousel, the Ferris Wheel, Big Bands, and dancing, dancing, dancing! Built by the Sherman family in the early 1900’s, the park was “ the destination” for many years, and numerous stories are related to us everyday by couples who met here, married, and are now returning with their children and grandchildren to reminisce.

Sherman’s has been recreated and designed to provide new memories for new generations. The park has been landscaped beautifully to take advantage of 900’ of lakefront. Mead Creek also runs through the property, and 2 bridges provide beautiful backdrops for pictures. Flowering trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals are constantly in bloom.

Our covered outdoor pavilion, formerly the bumper car building, has been restored to provide a wonderful space for your wedding ceremony, an anniversary, a reunion, or just a party – with Caroga Lake as a beautiful background for your event.

The Carousel has been lovingly restored and improved and is truly a work of art. There are fewer than 20 such 12-sided buildings still in existence, and this facility is second to none with its specially commissioned stained glass windows and its ability to accommodate up to 200 people. Our operator can run the carousel for your guests however you desire, from slow to full speed. Your event will truly be unique!

The main pavilion is the pride and joy of our restoration and provides two completely separate large rooms for your event. Each room has its own bar and wonderful large dance floor. The downstairs room can accommodate over 300 people and opens up to the lake. The upstairs room comfortably holds up to 180 and has its own entrance with a deck, and windows overlooking the lake. Each has access to a bricked patio which can be used as part of your package.

If your special day coincides with any other previously scheduled entertainment, rest assured that this will not conflict or interfere with your event. And if you want to party on with our band, you are invited to do so!
